Overview: we will tour the grounds of the Precious Moments Park in Carthage, MO which was founded in 1989 by creator Sam Butcher who originally created the endearing teardrop-eye children he called "Precious Moments" as gifts for family and friends. Today, his Precious Moments artwork is among the most recognized art in the world. Today  we will tour the Precious Moments Chapel which is the crowning work of  Samuel J. Butcher and will  remind you of Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel. We will also see two productions of The Fountain of Angels,  a unique masterpiece of art, entertainment and inspiration also created by Samuel J. Butcher. The Fountain of Angels is among the world’s largest show fountains. Sitting in its own 10-story theater, the majestic fountain performances combine soaring water effects reaching 80 feet in height with brilliant lighting and inspirational music and film. We'll also visit theWedding Island which features an 1880’s wedding chapel which provides a naturally beautiful setting for weddings and the bride’s house is the perfect setting for the bride and her attendants to prepare for the big day. Receptions are held in the ballroom of an 1890’s Victorian mansion complete with domed ceiling and marble floor inlaid with Precious Moments art. For lunch we will feast on a full buffet meal at the park restaurant. And of course, there will be time for shopping in their beautiful gift shop.


Cost: $70.00. Price includes bus transportation, a full luncheon buffet, all above mentioned admissions, plus prizes on board.
Bring money for souvenirs and snack on the way home.

Space limited to 45.  Reservations accepted on a first pay basis.    
What to bring: wear comfortable walking shoes and a rain poncho in case of rain.
Boarding locations: Overland Park at 7:15 am, (bus leaves at  7:30 sharp), Grandview at 7:50 am (bus leaves at 8:00 sharp).
For security reasons, only those going will be told of exact boarding location. Return about 8 pm to Grandview, 8:30 to O.P.
